Meet "The Engineer Broker"
Confronting the real estate industry gatekeepers requires someone who can read the source code, the real estate contracts, and the applicable laws
I am a Software Engineer turned Silicon Valley Real Estate Broker. My background is unique in combining hands-on real estate practice with decades of tech product development. I do not rely on vendor happy talk. I build.
Before launching my real estate career, I spent 20+ years developing software technologies, building digital marketing campaigns, and negotiating high-stakes business deals for public and private entities. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University.
All my business operations and upcoming products are completely AI-first and AI-native. This publication is heavily AI-assisted as well
MLS Expertise & Institutional Service
I am a stickler for rules and laws. I map out structural shifts by studying how traditional data pipelines and regulatory bodies operate on the ground. My background in the belly of the real estate ecosystem includes:
MLS Data Consumer & Infrastructure Expert: Operating as an advanced MLS data consumer creating applications that rely directly on MLS data.
MLS Rules Committee: Service on the MLSListings Rules Committee, handling complex appeals of MLS citations and professional standard enforcement.
Local AOR Committees: Service on the Government Affairs, Education, and Grievance Committees for my local Associations of REALTORS®.
CAR Committees: Service on MLS Policy, Transaction & Regulatory, Business Technology Forum, as well as MLS Workgroups at the state level.
National Policy Impact: Presented successful policy arguments to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) MLS Advisory Board.
The Forced Exile
As a technologist I have a keen eye for spotting where the systems are rigged
In my inaugural post I explain how I was abruptly suspended from my committee seats at the California Association of Realtors (CAR).
My crime? I raised urgent alarms in public meetings and circulated technical whitepapers exposing the massive blind spots in how legacy real estate institutions are fumbling the Agentic AI. I exposed that top-down, secretive committees are sleepwalking the industry into a structural realignment that threatens independent professionals and leaves consumers exposed.
They thought silencing a committee member would bury the embarrassment. Instead, they forced me to launch this public movement.
